Charity Tuesday.

Yesterday was our Charity Tuesday at work. On the last Tuesday of each month a rotating two of the office staff bring in goods for a bake sale. We dress per a theme to draw attention to the bake sale. This month it was a hunting/Thanksgiving headgear theme.

Usually we choose an agency type charity as the recipient of our donations. This month we went personal. Elsie's son's house burned down last week. It was totaled. The family is okay, but a beloved old dog perished in the fire. (He was found by the couch, so they think he never woke up. Whew.) Insurance will kick in, but we all know how that works. So this Tuesday was dedicated to them.

Following the theme, we had two Indians, two antlered deer, and two deer sitting on shoulders. One of the deer got the bright idea of allowing hunting season between 2-4. If the deer was struck by a paperwad during that time, she would contribute another buck. (Buck...hehe...get it? Oh all right, it's early in the morning!) The deer would be safe when she was in the swamp (her office). What the deer didn't know was that the boss was leaving at 2:00 p.m. Eek!

Anyway, we collected over $150.00 (our normal is around fifty dollars, except when we do the legs contest) so we were very happy.
